Post-doctoral position: Dialogue Planning with an application to Social Robotics.

The project DISCOBOT's (An engaging discussion robot for mental health preservation) objective is to develop AI-based dialogue generation methods based on personal narratives to foster long-term engagement with a social robot.

Applicants must have spent at least 18 months out of France between 1 May 2020 and the start of the project, and must have defended their Ph.D. thesis less than 5 years ago. The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in computer science with a focus on conversational agents or dialogue planning.

Responsibilities

• Carry out research at the Lab-STICC within the COMMEDIA and RAMBO teams, which are jointly leading this project.

Qualifications

• Defended Ph.D. thesis less than 5 years ago.
• Spent at least 18 months outside France between 1 May 2020 and the start of the project.
• Ph.D. in computer science specializing in conversational agents or dialogue planning.
