Platform Build Engineer

Job title: Infrastructure/Platform Engineer

Location: Paris, France (hybrid)

Contract: 12 months

We are partnering with a well‑known organization undergoing a major infrastructure transformation, looking to hire an Infrastructure Platform Engineer to help scale and industrialise an internal platform.

This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure, ideal for someone who enjoys building real products while solving complex enterprise operational challenges. You will play a key role in evolving an existing infrastructure platform/portal (currently at POC stage) into a scalable, production‑ready solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the internal infrastructure platform
• Build intuitive front‑end interfaces and robust backend services
• Expose infrastructure services, automation workflows, and operational insights
• Integrate with enterprise systems (ITSM, CMDB, cloud platforms, GitHub, monitoring tools)
• Translate manual infrastructure processes into automated, governed workflows
• Collaborate with infrastructure SMEs to turn operational needs into platform features
• Support cloud and IaC use cases (provisioning, lifecycle, standardisation, governance)
• Leverage AI tools responsibly to accelerate development and workflow design
• Improve platform reliability, security, and production readiness
• Produce clear technical documentation and help define the platform operating model

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong software engineering background (backend and/or full‑stack)
• Solid understanding of APIs, system design, and integration patterns
• Cloud experience, ideally Azure
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Good understanding of enterprise infrastructure environments (compute, cloud, monitoring, ITSM, governance)
• Experience working with automation and platform engineering concepts
• Ability to use AI development tools in a controlled, engineering‑led way
• Strong stakeholder engagement – able to translate infrastructure needs into scalable platform solutions
