Job Title: Plant Information (PI) Developer

Duration: 12 months minimum

Workload: Full time hours

Setup: Freelance (Daily rate / Limited Company / Umbrella / Sole Trader)

Location: Pau, France (onsite)

The client requires a PI Developer to support the implementation, configuration, and optimisation of OSIsoft PI solutions for a major industrial project.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and configure PI solutions, including PI ProcessBook, PI-AF, PI Vision, and PI DataLink.
• Create and maintain PI tags based on project documentation (P&IDs, process datasheets, ICSS communication lists).
• Build PI-AF models, templates, and real‑time analytics.
• Develop PI Vision dashboards and notifications to support field operations.
• Generate Power BI reports using PI data when required.
• Troubleshoot PI systems and coordinate with IT, Telecom, and HQ PI support teams.
• Support digital roadmap deployment and integrate client tools with PI.
• Train operations personnel and prepare user manuals for PI systems.
• Contribute to HSE compliance and continuous improvement activities.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with OSIsoft PI System (PI-AF, PI Vision, PI DataLink, PI ProcessBook).
• Experience modelling PI-AF structures and configuring real‑time analyses.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation (P&IDs, datasheets).
• Experience building dashboards for operational environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills within PI ecosystem.
• Experience in industrial operations, energy, oil & gas, or similar environments.

Nice-to-Have

• Power BI reporting using PI data.
• Knowledge of HSE standards (ISO 14001, ISO 50001).
• Experience liaising with multi‑disciplinary digital/OT teams.
• Familiarity with digitalisation programmes in industrial settings.
