Position Overview
This is a Planning Engineer position for the STEGRA project in Bodén, Sweden, focusing on project control and scheduling.
Based in Bodén with immediate start preferred.
Environment
The Marine & Offshore Division works on large-scale infrastructure projects. The STEGRA project involves a green steelworks and an electrolysis plant powered by renewable electricity and water from the Lule River, producing 5million tonnes of green steel per year by 2030.
Main Responsibilities
- Construction Scheduling & Look‑Ahead Planning
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules in PrimaveraP6.
- Prepare and update 3‑week and 6‑week look‑ahead schedules.
- Prepare and maintain focus schedules for parallel activities.
- Maintain resource‑loaded and billing‑related schedules.
- Prepare and update communication schedules.
- Progress Monitoring
- Perform weekly and monthly progress updates based on site input.
- Collect, validate, and integrate progress data from construction teams.
- Ensure alignment between baseline, progress, and look‑ahead schedules.
- Meetings & Coordination
- Prepare and support Construction 3WLAS meetings.
- Participate in coordination meetings related to construction planning.
- Coordinate planning activities with construction and design teams.
- Support coordination with subcontractors on schedule‑related topics.
- Reporting & KPIs
- Prepare input for weekly and monthly reports.
- Maintain and update planning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide schedule data and extracts for project reporting.
- Change Management & Claims Support
- Support identification of impacted activities related to changes.
- Perform critical path impact analysis for changes.
- Support valuation of delays in coordination with the Programme Manager.
- Provide planning data and analysis to support claims preparation when required.
- Daily Planning Support
- Provide day‑to‑day planning support to the Programme Manager.
- Support coordination between planning and construction activities.
- Prepare ad‑hoc schedule updates and short‑term analyses as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or project planning on complex infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in PrimaveraP6 or similar scheduling tools.
- Basic understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM).
- Practical experience with short‑term and look‑ahead planning activities.
- Ability to collaborate closely with site/construction teams and support regular schedule updates.
- Good communication skills in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
- Proactive, structured, and hands‑on approach to planning topics.
- Fluent in English (working language on site).
