Planner (Clermont)
Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to join our Planning & Reliability team on site. Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum.
Reporting to the Planning & Reliability Superintendent, this role offers variety and opportunity to the right individual.
Clermont is only one and a quarter hour drive from Emerald, three-and-half hour drive from Mackay and a five-hour drive from Townsville. We have a diverse group of people employed at our operation who choose to commute from multiple locations across Queensland along with those who live locally within the Isaac Region.
Responsibilities
- Developing, maintaining and providing clearly structured plans and deliverables for implementation through the execution team
- Scheduling heavy mobile plant works, including sourcing labour requirements
- Ensuring plans meet availability requirements
- Ensuring work is executed within monthly budget structures
- Management of the mobile maintenance budget and forecasting process which supports the effective cost management of the Maintenance department
- Promoting innovation and operational enhancements to achieve high performance outcomes
- Driving performance, safety and productivity of relevant plant and equipment through process improvement
- Engaging with maintenance personnel and key stakeholders to ensure a ‘hands‑on’ approach towards the planning of maintenance workloads
Requirements
- Mechanical/Electrical Trade Qualification
- 5 years’ experience in maintenance planning
- Strong communication skills with the ability to establish positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Significant experience in computerised maintenance systems (SAP)
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel and Project
- QLD Drivers Licence
