A VIP family based between India and Paris is seeking two experienced and compassionate governesses/tutors to support their teenage daughter, aged 17. The role is based in Paris only.
The daughter has been diagnosed with moderate autism and ADHD. The family seeks candidates who can combine academic tutoring with emotional support, structured guidance, and life‑skills mentoring.
A minimum of 2 to 4 years of prior experience as a rota nanny is required.
She is described by her parents as bright, thoughtful, and highly capable, thriving best in calm, structured environments. She benefits from consistency, patient interaction, and neurodiversity‑affirming care.
When not attending school, the governesses/tutors will provide personalized academic support, foster her social and emotional development, and encourage independence in day‑to‑day life.
She will attend the American School of Paris.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized academic tutoring adapted to the child’s learning style and educational needs.
- Offer social and emotional mentoring, helping to build confidence and resilience.
- Support the development of practical life skills, encouraging independence and responsibility.
- Create and maintain structured routines that provide predictability and security.
- Liaise with parents, teachers, and any specialists involved in the teenager’s care.
Working Hours & Schedule
24/7 on a rota basis: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.
Candidates’ Requirements
- Proven experience supporting children or teenagers with autism and ADHD, ideally with training in SEN (Special Educational Needs).
- Background in education, child psychology, or a related field highly desirable.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Patient, structured, and empathetic, with a calm and positive approach.
- Organised and proactive in establishing routines and educational activities.
- Willingness to integrate into a multicultural and bilingual household.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field.
- Special needs training or certification (e.g., autism spectrum support, ADHD strategies).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
Accommodation
The position is live‑in. The candidate will share an apartment with the daughter in St Cloud.
Salary
€9,100 net per month.
Legal & Eligibility
Only candidates who hold an EU passport or have the right to work in France will be considered. Non‑smoker requirement is essential.
