Nanny (Live‑in, 24/5) – Paris 8th Arrondissement

A lovely American/Canadian family based in the 8th arrondissement of Paris seeks a bilingual French/English nanny to care for their 8‑month‑old son, born in March 2025.

The family has lived in Switzerland and NYC and now resides in Paris. Both parents work long finance hours but spend mornings and evenings with the baby. A maternity nurse will leave at the end of October, so the position starts in early November 2025.

Responsibilities

• Provide loving, attentive care, ensuring the child’s comfort, safety and well‑being at all times.
• Engage the child in age‑appropriate activities such as sensory play and tummy time, assist with feeding and diapering, and establish a consistent sleep routine.
• Support parents with daily tasks (bath time, dressing, general care) while maintaining a clean and nurturing environment.
• Foster emotional and social development, attend doctor appointments as needed, and adapt care as the baby grows.
• Clean and sterilise bottles, manage feeding items, organise baby gear, prepare homemade baby food, handle baby laundry and manage supplies.
• Arrange age‑appropriate social activities and send daily updates/photos to parents.
• Travel with the family throughout Europe and internationally when parents travel (London, Switzerland, NYC).

Requirements

• Live‑in nanny, sleeping in the same bedroom until the child turns one, then own room but still responsible at night.
• Bilingual in French and English; good understanding of English required.
• Previous experience working 24/24 as a nanny.
• EU passport or the right to work in France.
• Non‑smoker.
• Experience caring for infants up to 12 months.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to a family lifestyle.

Schedule & Compensation

• Hours: 24 hours on 5 days (Sunday evening to Friday evening)
• Salary: €350 per 24 hours worked (€7,525 net per month)
• Start date: End of October 2025
