Piping Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Piping Supervisor to join a major energy infrastructure project in Western France.

The Piping Supervisor will oversee and coordinate all piping and insulation activities on site, working closely with the Site/Project Superintendent and wider construction team.

You will be responsible for supervising subcontractors and field crews, coordinating daily construction activities, monitoring progress and productivity, and ensuring all works are completed safely, to the required quality standards and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise piping and insulation activities from material receipt through to testing and commissioning
  • Coordinate subcontractors and field crews
  • Monitor daily construction progress, productivity and schedule milestones
  • Ensure works comply with drawings, technical specifications, quality requirements and HSE standards
  • Supervise the installation and erection of cryogenic piping and supports
  • Plan, supervise and coordinate pressure testing, cleaning and drying
  • Review installation, erection, testing and commissioning procedures
  • Carry out site inspections and address technical or construction issues
  • Manage interfaces with other disciplines and project stakeholders
  • Support quality and safety requirements across piping activities
  • Occasionally supervise steel structure erection activities

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience supervising and coordinating piping activities on industrial construction projects
  • Strong experience within LNG, petrochemical, refinery or similar process environments
  • Proven experience with cryogenic piping and supports
  • Strong experience with pressure testing
  • Knowledge of ASME, PED and relevant industry standards
  • Previous experience supervising subcontractors and construction teams
  • Steel structures experience would be advantageous
  • Fluent English and French
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multicultural and demanding site environment
  • Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Relevant professional certifications would be advantageous
