Physicist - Induction Systems

In the context of the energy transition and the profound transformation required by industries, NOC Energy is developing innovative solutions to help decarbonize high-temperature industrial heat processes.

As part of its strong growth, NOC Energy is hiring for an applied physicist , providing immersion into the heart of the technical and strategic challenges of a Deep Tech startup in the industrial deployment phase.

Missions

Leading the induction R&D work within the product engineering team, you will actively contribute to the development and delivery of NOC Energy's next generation NOC Cell design. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing computational and physical models to optimize induction heating process and power engineering design for NOCs next generation NOC Cell
• Integrating with a team of electrical, mechanical and I&C engineers
• Aligning and integrating with engineering design
• Coordinating and interfacing with various 3rd parties such as contract engineers, suppliers and customers

• Flexible working hours. Role is outcome-based not hours-based
• Direct report to CTO and R&D team
• Duration: Permanent
• Salary: Negotiable – starting from 40k€

Desired profile

• 3+ years of experience studying electromagnetism phenomena
• Ability to design and optimise induction system models
• Ability to develop comprehensive analysis from simulations and physical models
• Ability to operate within complex, multi-stakeholder projects, delivering to criteria and timelines

Preferred:

• Experience leading industrial equipment or power electronics technology development
• Experience or interest in high temperature physics
• Experience in-house or serving industrial sector (e.g., cement, ceramics, glass, manufacturing, etc.)
• Contribute to a truly innovative industrial project with solutions deployed on client sites
• Work in an international and multicultural environment, from R&D to industrialization
• Strong technical and strategic exposure with direct interactions with CEO and CTO
• Medium-term growth opportunities, CDI or fixed-term contract depending on profile and project
