Physical Therapist, Lymphedema

What You’ll Need

  • B.S., M.S., or D.P.T degree from an accredited physical therapy school.
  • Current licensure in the state of applicable state.
  • CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C.

What You’ll Do

  • Adhere to hospital policies, departmental policies and procedures to promote a cooperative work environment and quality of services.
  • Provide patient care assessment and treatment, ensuring evaluations and treatments are comprehensive, functional, and in accordance with the Standard of Practice.
  • Conduct sound professional judgment in interpreting evaluation results and establishing realistic treatment plans with goals.
  • Encourage patients and their significant others in goal setting and respond to changes in the patient's physiologic state.
  • Recommend next level of care and ensure quality patient outcomes. Supervise support staff assisting with patient care by providing direction and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate documentation: patient evaluations, progress notes, discharge notes, education, charges, department statistics, and ICD-10 codes per policy.
  • Ensure documentation is legible and systematically ordered.
  • Meet department financial and productivity standards, understand budgeted expectations, and adjust individual schedules as needed.
  • Participate in process management to optimize quality and efficiency, identify opportunities, and communicate progress and barriers to the supervisor.
  • Research and suggest evidence‑based best practices to improve patient care.
  • Promote professional development and education of other health care workers, provide representation on committees, and conduct in‑service training.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers, respond to questions, promote open communication, and ensure understanding.
  • Provide the appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines, demonstrating knowledge and updating competence.

Position Highlights

  • Relocation Assistance: Up to $7,500 in relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Compensation

Pay Range: $38.20 – $57.30 per hour.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 8:00‑5:00 with 1 half day Saturday every 8 weeks.
