Physical Design Application Engineer - Sophia-Antipolis

A global leader in the Semiconductor industry is seeking a Physical Design Application Engineer to contribute to advanced ASIC implementation projects. This position offers the chance to work closely with highly skilled engineers on state-of-the-art process nodes, supported by a global network of EDA tool specialists.

As a Physical Design Application Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting digital design and implementation flows, troubleshooting and optimising complex designs, and assisting with the deployment of new methodologies at customer sites. You’ll also play a role in delivering technical training, collaborating with internal engineering teams, and providing insight into product enhancements.

Skills & Experience:

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or related field, with proven experience in the Semiconductor industry
• Strong background in Physical Design
• Hands‑on experience with EDA tools for physical design – ideally Genus, Innovus, and Tempus.
• Familiarity with scripting (C-shell, TCL/TK) in UNIX/Linux environments.
• Knowledge of Verilog or System Verilog is beneficial
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.
• Willingness to travel and work with customers across Europe.
