Offer Description
The PhD student will be responsible for identifying opportunities for the digitalisation of ships in conjunction with other players in the land-sea ecosystem, the new skills associated with this, but also the risks, particularly in terms of working methods (human error).
The thesis will then focus on cyber attacks in maritime organisations (ships, fleet management centres, head offices, ports): identification of typical cyber attacks, proposals for scenarios, testing of scenarios with partner companies to test human behaviour.

Research Field Engineering Education Level Master Degree or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
- Management and business sciences and/or computer sciences and/or statistical sciences and/or engineering
- Good knowledge of digital environments
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of cybersecurity
- English (good oral and written skills)
- French
- Qualitative methods or quantitative methods
- Comply with the rules of public service and the common interest
- Knowledge of the maritime world is an asset (but not strictly necessary)
Specific Requirements
Full-time with travels to be expected depending on the project's industrial partners.
