Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) seeks a PhD Student (f/m/d) to investigate the long-term behaviour of high-burnup spent nuclear fuel during extended interim storage. Join the ATLAS project combining synthesis, ion irradiation, synchrotron characterization and multiscale modelling at ROBL, ESRF.
You will perform experiments, fabricate UO2-based thin films with the University of Bristol, plan irradiation campaigns, analyze data, and contribute to conferences and peer‑reviewed papers
