[Permanent position] Compiler engineer

Overview

SiPearl is the European fabless designer of sovereign secure high-performance energy-efficient CPUs for HPC, AI and data centres. These CPUs address strategic challenges in security, defence, medical research, energy, climate and engineering with a reduced environmental footprint.

Incubated within The European Processor Initiative (EPI) Consortium and seed-funded by the European Union, SiPearl employs almost 200 people in France (Maisons-Laffitte, Grenoble, Massy, Sophia Antipolis), Spain (Barcelona) and Italy (Bologna). Following a €130 million Series A, the company has launched its Series B round.

About the role

In this position, you will work closely with the Compiler team leader to enhance and support SiPearl’s development toolchains while contributing to collaborative projects and mentoring interns.

Your missions

• Improve and implement innovative features in compilers, libraries, and development tools based on SiPearl’s product specifications.
• Detect, correct, and generalize software issues impacting SiPearl products, and deliver robust toolchains.
• Participate in collaborative and partnership projects, contributing to development, testing, validation, and delivery of project deliverables.
• Conduct software monitoring in compilers, libraries, and tools, sharing insights internally to guide team decisions.
• Mentor interns, define project topics, and handle administrative aspects related to internship supervision.

What will help you succeed

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Strong understanding of software development tools, compilers, and libraries
• Ability to analyze product-specific requirements and implement innovative solutions
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and mentoring skills

Experience

• Experience in open-source projects or software toolchains (a plus)
• Previous experience in project management or academic partnerships (a plus)
• Attendance at industry seminars or conferences (a plus)
