Performance Test Engineer (Freelance) | Strasbourg & Hybrid

Are you a Performance Testing expert who loves diving deep into system architecture to find that one elusive bottleneck? We are looking for a Senior Non-Functional Test Engineer to join a long-term project in Strasbourg.

This is a critical role focusing on the scalability and reliability of large-scale enterprise systems in an international, multicultural environment.

Location: Strasbourg (Hybrid options available)

Duration: 1 Year + Extensions

Type: Freelance Only

Requirement: EU Nationality (Member State) is mandatory for security clearance.

The Mission

You won't just be running scripts; you’ll be the architect of the performance strategy.

• Strategy & Execution: Design E2E test plans and execute Load, Stress, Endurance, and Capacity tests.
• Technical Deep-Dives: Analyze CPU, Memory, Network usage, and Garbage Collection to identify leaks and bottlenecks.
• Scripting: Develop robust, maintainable scripts primarily using Gatling .
• Optimization: Work closely with Dev and Ops teams to resolve DB issues and connection pool problems.
• Mentorship: Lead the way by setting best practices and enabling other QA engineers.

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience: 6+ years in software and hardware performance testing.
• Toolbox: Hands-on mastery of Gatling and experience with enterprise monitoring tools.
• Analytical Mindset: You don't just see a "slow system"; you find the specific DB parameter or memory leak causing it.
• Communication: Ability to present technical findings clearly to both developers and high-level stakeholders.
• Background: Valid EU Passport and the ability to provide a clean criminal record for clearance.
