Responsibilities
As an integral part of the Charlotte office team, you will be responsible for the management of all payroll related functions to ensure proper set‑up, processing, and generation of payroll for all company entities within the country, crossing several states and jurisdictions.
Other roles and responsibilities include:
- Accountable for calculating the effect of changes in the employee population or changes in laws and by‑laws
- Providing counsel and advisory to management
- Ensuring the computation, withholding, and calculation of deductions associated with net pay including federal and state withholding and unemployment insurance, and direct deposit information
- Calculating gross to net payments of expenses related to relocation and expatriation
- Reconciling payroll accounts, preparing journal entries, and assisting finance or HR teams during audits.
- Creating analytical reports for corporate, sub‑regional and cluster management
- Communicating with employees regarding individual salary and deduction considerations
- Assisting with year‑end processing, including W‑2 preparation and distribution
- Ensuring proper use of country payroll system in view of integration and/or consolidation of payroll data at group level
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 6+ years of large‑scale payroll experience in a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Analyst role
- Proven experience working within a payroll function in mid‑sized to large organization
- Demonstrated expertise managing high‑volume payrolls (weekly and bi‑weekly) for 1,200+ employees
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce detailed, accurate reports
- In‑depth knowledge of multi‑state payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Solid understanding of payroll accounting principles and cross‑functional finance processes
- Experience ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
