Payroll & Benefits Administrator

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional responsible for managing the full payroll cycle for the Dutch office in Amsterdam, ensuring accurate processing and timely disbursement of employee compensation, while providing backup support for Luxembourg operations. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external providers to maintain seamless payroll operations across both locations while ensuring compliance with established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Own the full payroll cycle, ensuring all procedures and controls are accurately documented.
• Ensure that all payroll and benefit amendments are processed accordingly and put into the payroll system for payment.
• Timely communicate all payroll related information with the relevant payroll provider.
• Check the processed payroll output before submitting the payment.
• Prepare and maintain relevant payroll spreadsheets and reports.
• Handle queries from employees and third parties in a professional and timely manner, ensuring that all queries are answered within agreed timescales.
• Manage payroll related audits.
• Ensure all payroll documentation is filed in personnel or payroll files on a monthly basis.
• Provide backup support for Luxembourg operations as required.

Qualifications

• Community college or Bachelor’s Degree; 2-3 years of experience in payroll or benefits administration.
• Fluent in English and Dutch (minimum B2 level) is required. French language skills are an asset.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
• Able to handle confidential information with a high degree of discretion and tact.
• Exceptional skill in balancing priorities in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with the ADP iHCM payroll platform is an advantage.
