Partner, Automotive (F/M)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
- Define and execute the commercial strategy for the Automotive sector
- Build, develop, and maintain senior relationships with key clients (OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, distribution networks, mobility players, and automotive technology companies)
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities, lead proposal development and contract negotiation
- Represent Mews Partners at industry events, conferences, and in professional networks (e.g., Mondial de l’Auto, IAA Mobility, FISITA)
Sector Leadership
- Lead the Automotive activities at Mews Partners, in coordination with sector leaders across the group
- Adapt Mews Partners’ sector offering and value proposition for the automotive market, aligned with Mews Partners’ methodologies (operational performance, Design to Value/Cost, engineering performance, organizational transformation, PMO)
- Contribute to thought leadership and market positioning on key automotive topics: electrification, software‑defined vehicles, supply chain resilience, lean manufacturing, and sustainable mobility
Delivery & Team Management
- Oversee the delivery of consulting engagements, ensuring quality, client satisfaction, and profitability in accordance with Mews Partners’ standards
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary consulting teams (from Analysts to Senior Managers)
- Act as executive sponsor on strategic client accounts
Internal Contribution
- Participate actively in Mews Partners’ leadership team and strategic decisions for the sector
- Contribute to talent development and recruitment within the firm
- Foster cross‑office collaboration between automotive and other practices (energy, industry, digital)
Experience
15+ years of professional experience, including significant exposure to the Automotive sector (OEM, Tier 1/2 supplier, or consulting).
Minimum 5 years in a senior consulting role (Partner, Director, or equivalent) with demonstrated business development achievements.
Track record of managing complex transformation, operational performance, or large program management engagements in automotive (vehicle development, manufacturing, supply chain, aftersales, or mobility).
Experience working with or within major automotive industrial ecosystems in France and/or Germany is strongly valued.
Skills
- Strong business development mindset, with an established and actionable network in the automotive market
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following: operational performance improvement, large project / program management (PMO), manufacturing excellence, engineering performance, organizational transformation, Design to Cost / Design to Value
- Excellent leadership and people management skills; ability to inspire and develop teams
- High degree of entrepreneurship and autonomy; comfortable in a growing, hands‑on environment
- A strong ability for cross development with other partners, sectors and practices
- Strong analytical and structured thinking; ability to translate complex problems into actionable recommendations
Languages
- English: full professional proficiency (mandatory)
- French or German: native or full professional proficiency (mandatory)
Education
Graduate degree from a leading engineering school, business school, or university (Master’s level minimum).
JOB LOCATION
France (Paris or Lyon/Toulouse depending on client proximity) or Germany.
