About the Role

Forteza Law PLLC is seeking a skilled Paralegal with civil litigation experience to support our attorneys in our Miami office. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in all phases of civil litigation, from case intake through trial.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all phases of civil litigation case management
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents under attorney supervision
• Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and evidence
• Calendar deadlines, hearings, and filing dates, and monitor court rules for compliance
• Prepare trial binders and assist with trial preparation and logistics
• Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors as needed
• Conduct legal research to support case strategy
• E-file documents with state and/or federal courts

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a paralegal in civil litigation required
• Prior experience working in Foreclosure cases (Plaintiff)
• Prior experience working in Homeowners' Association and Condominium collections required
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with Florida civil procedure and court filing requirements a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with case management and e-filing software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on-site at our Miami office (not a remote position)

Location & Schedule

This is an in-office position based at our Miami, Florida office. This is not a remote or hybrid role — candidates must be able to work on-site.
