Packaging Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on packaging processes and materials within cross-functional Joint Project Teams (JPT) and ensure compliance with global standards.
• Oversee batch records, SOPs and technical documentation (reports, annual reviews) while ensuring an appropriate control strategy.
• Lead product/process transfers, product launches and cross-network initiatives, with a focus on packaging.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and resolve complex technical issues during site visits or investigations.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and collaborate with Quality and Operations teams on deviations and complaints.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in life sciences or engineering (e.g., pharmacy, chemistry, chemical engineering, veterinary medicine)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical/chemical manufacturing, TS/MS, pharmaceutical development or quality assurance, including at least 5 years specifically in packaging processes and materials.
• Proficiency in English and one other European language
• Expertise in applied statistics, quality systems and regulatory requirements.
