Pay Range: $28.55 - $42.85
Major Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems and document tasks through the computerized maintenance system.
- Assist in evaluating and troubleshooting basic building system failures and perform repairs as directed.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain basic utility system infrastructure.
- Assist in maintaining fire alarm and fire protection systems.
- Support the installation of building hardware, electrical devices, and wall finishes under supervision.
- Maintain preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files for compliance.
- Read blueprints, life safety drawings, and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required
- Advanced training beyond high school that includes the completion of technical training.
- Valid driver’s license.
Education Required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience Required
- 2-4 years of experience in related industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures.
- Intermediate level computer skills in using systems such as CMMS, Microsoft Office, and building automation systems.
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal oversight with intermediate level technical skills in facility maintenance.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Required shifts and participation in on‑call duty to provide 24/7 coverage.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest level, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance.
- Must be able to push or pull with 50 lbs. of force.
- Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards and therefore knowledge of safety precautions.
- Position requires travel and may be exposed to road or weather hazards.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Recognized community college or technical school trade certificate or completion of a recognized community college program.
- Trade or tech school trades certificate or industry recognized certification or license that requires continuing education units or periodic renewal to maintain.
- 2+ years of experience in related industrial/trades maintenance or operations.

- Base compensation listed within the pay range based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.
- Premium pay such as shift, on‑call, and other pay based on the position.
