Outsourcing Manager R&D - CDI- F/H

Position

Outsourcing Manager R&D – Pharmaceutical R&D, Pierre Fabre Laboratories, remote up to 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outsourcing strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Identify and evaluate potential service providers (CROs, CDMOs, consultants).
• Research and propose outsourcing innovations per research objectives.
• Coordinate specification development with subject‑matter experts.
• Assess provider proposals in coordination with procurement and technical teams.
• Negotiate service contracts (framework, scope, amendments) with legal and support functions.
• Drive supplier performance on cost, schedule, quality; manage disputes.
• Map risks and opportunities to action plans.
• Ensure regulatory and quality compliance of outsourced activities (GxP, internal procedures, authorities).
• Contribute to continuous improvement: set KPIs, monitor results.
• Communicate with providers and lead review meetings.
• Share lessons learned with R&D teams and peers.

Qualifications

• Bac+5 (Master or equivalent) in life sciences, pharmacy, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in outsourcing management, ideally in a pharmaceutical lab or CRO.
• Solid understanding of the R&D value chain and applicable regulations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work in a complex matrix organisation and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Leadership, responsiveness, adaptability, solution‑oriented mindset.
• Rigour, proactivity, autonomy and strong organisational skills.
