Oracle Fusion Learning Project Manager

The Business Transformation Office (BTO), part of INSEAD's Finance and Administration department, plays a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and delivering operational excellence across the institution. By overseeing transformative projects, the office ensures alignment with organisational goals, streamlines processes, and fosters innovation to support INSEAD's mission of developing the next generation of leaders.

INSEAD is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Business Transformation Office – Implementation Team. This is a full‑time, 12‑month contract position based at our Europe Campus in Fontainebleau, France. A hybrid working model is in place – 3 days on campus, 2 days from home.

About The Job

Reporting to the Senior Director Business Transformation Execution, you will be responsible for driving the global implementation of our HR Information System (HRIS) – Oracle HCM in alignment with business objectives, an agreed plan and budget. This will be a phase 2 implementation of multiple modules for HR, for example talent, compensation and absences modules.

Your role within the team

Project Management

• Together with Oracle, develop comprehensive project plans including objectives, milestones, deliverables and resources.
• Define project team composition and provide strong leadership to foster collaboration, motivation, and accountability among team members.
• Plan and organise meetings, agenda and minutes.
• Track deliverables, follow‑up actions, resources and budget management.

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Effectively communicate project status, risks and dependencies, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Proactively address stakeholders’ concerns, manage expectations and ask for feedback to drive consensus.

Change Management and Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to minimize resistance and facilitate smooth adoption of new processes, systems and organisations.
• Identify potential impacts and develop mitigation plans to address concerns and ensure successful transition.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating existing processes, identifying opportunities for optimisation, implementing best practices, innovative solutions and lessons learnt.

Risk Management and Quality Assurance

• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks.
• Develop contingency plans and escalation procedures to address unforeseen challenges and minimise disruption to project timelines and outcomes.
• Ensure high‑quality delivery that meets stakeholders’ expectations, business requirements and BTO’s standards.

The ideal candidate profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Certification in Project Management (e.g. ACP, PMP, PRINCE2) and Change Management preferred (e.g. Prosci).
• Proven experience (5‑7 years) in Human Capital Management (HCM) software/platform implementation projects.
• Track record of driving results in complex and dynamic environments.
• Experience in HR Information System platform implementation (SAP, Oracle, Workday etc.) highly desirable.
• Experience in the higher education sector or industries undergoing significant transformation (technology, healthcare, finance) is a plus.
• Skilled in Project and Change Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), Project Management software (JIRA, MPP).
• Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills including with leaders.
• Consistently deliver high‑quality work and demonstrate reliability in performing day‑to‑day responsibilities.
• Contribute to a collaborative culture, showing willingness to work with others to achieve common objectives.
• Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to speak and write in French is preferred.
