Oracle Cloud HR Functional Lead (OTL & Absence Management)

We are looking for a Freelance Oracle Cloud HR Functional Lead for a major international industrial group currently in the final phase of a large-scale Oracle ERP Cloud rollout.

Context

The client is deploying a single Oracle ERP Cloud solution to replace multiple legacy ERP systems across its global business units. Oracle Cloud is already live in several entities. The final phase covers the remaining entities currently running on Oracle E-Business Suite.

Main Activities

Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Support the ERP Functional Project Manager in coordinating activities, meetings and workshops with business, IT and integrator stakeholders
  • Contribute to on-time delivery in line with project milestones and priorities
  • Act as the communication hub between business and IT teams

Process Design & Requirements Gathering

  • Present the Oracle Cloud blueprint to local business teams
  • Lead workshops to collect local business requirements on OTL and Absence processes, including integration needs with external systems
  • Document local requirements for business validation
  • Review and validate solution design documentation produced by the integrator
  • Support business in gathering data required for system setup
  • Guide business adoption in alignment with local processes

Integrator Oversight

  • Oversee integrator deliverables across Build, configuration, reporting, SIT/UAT, defect management, production setup, cutover and documentation phases
  • Ensure deliverables meet project scope and business requirements

Testing & Validation

  • Contribute to test scenario and script creation, validation and execution
  • Guide business teams through UAT preparation
  • Drive UAT execution and defect analysis with business
  • Contribute to Data Migration Strategy definition with the data migration lead and business
  • Perform technical data reconciliation during SIT/UAT and Production phases
  • Support transcodification, mapping validation and resolution of data migration issues

Change Management & Training

  • Support Business Champions and integrators during end-user training sessions
  • Deliver end-user training as needed
  • Provide clarifications on system functionalities and new processes
  • Support business during cutover, go-live and hypercare to ensure smooth transition
  • Monitor issues and incidents during cutover and go-live

Required Profile

  • Strong experience in Oracle ERP implementations (EBS or Cloud)
  • Solid functional skills in: Oracle HR, Payroll, Absence Management, OTL (by project)
  • Business expertise in Human Resources and Payroll
  • Strong teaching and training skillset
  • Ability to document, present and summarize clearly
  • Ability to drive stakeholders to decisions without formal authority
  • Rigorous, pragmatic, organized
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally
  • 7+ years of experience in Oracle ERP implementations (EBS and/or Oracle Cloud)
