Today we are looking for an Operational Risk Officer to join our Risk Management Department. Are you ready for a new challenge?
RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the Risk Management Department, you will support the bank’s Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework by assisting in the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of risks associated with external service providers and outsourcing arrangements.
You will work closely with procurement, legal, IT security, compliance, and business units to ensure effective oversight of vendor risks throughout the third-party lifecycle.
Your responsibilities include:
Third-Party Risk Assessment (TPRM)
- Support the TPRM process for new and existing third-party vendors and outsourcing arrangements
- Assist in evaluating vendor risk across areas such as operational resilience, financial stability, information security, data protection, and business continuity
- Review vendor documentation for risk assessment purposes, including SOC reports, financial statements, security questionnaires, and control frameworks
- Ensuring completion of required risk assessments and documentation by the procurement team and the internal owner of the vendor relationship
- Maintain the third-party inventory and risk classification of vendors
- Support periodic reviews and reassessments of existing third-party relationships
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track key risk indicators (KRIs) and risk issues related to third-party vendors
- Support the preparation of risk reports and dashboards for senior management and risk committees
- Assist in monitoring remediation actions for identified vendor risks
Governance & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure third-party relationships comply with the bank’s operational risk framework and outsourcing policies
- Support the identification and documentation of third-party operational risk incidents
- Assist in coordinating remediation and follow-up actions with internal stakeholders and vendors
Process & Framework Support
- Contribute to maintaining and improving the TPRM framework
- Assist in documenting procedures and maintaining risk management records
- Support the implementation and use of GRC or vendor risk management systems
SKILLS & EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related discipline
- A first hands‑on experience in operational risk, vendor risk management, compliance, internal audit, or risk consulting
- A good understanding of operational risk and control frameworks in financial institutions
- Proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken. Dutch is a big plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
