Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain small milling machines, power mills, extrusion machines, drills, punch presses, servo brakes, shears, or saws.
- Set up machining centers, make adjustments, and perform routine maintenance.
- Use gauges, templates, and assemblies to measure tight tolerances.
- Control and supervise numerically controlled machines as required.
- Monitor and verify product quality according to statistical process control or other procedures.
- Provide support in fabrication plants and/or distribution centers for assembly, machining, transformation, packaging, and/or product distribution.
- Operate automatic or semi‑automatic machines and related equipment in continuous production or transformation sites.
- Report any machine malfunction or anomaly to supervisors.
- Assist supervisors in recommending and adjusting methods and processes.
- Participate in shipping, receiving, stock control, or product storage activities in distribution centers.
- Independently propose solutions to operational problems and recommend minor system or process changes for improvement.
- Communicate with internal and external contacts as needed.
- Provide coaching, training, and guidance to other employees in the same activity area.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in manufacturing or distribution operations, with optional professional training, technical training, or certification.
- Extensive knowledge of operational systems and established practices, typically acquired through experience and/or training.
- Proven ability to function independently, exercise judgment, and manage projects of moderate scope.
- Strong analytical skills to understand and resolve general problems.
- Effective communication skills with ability to influence internal stakeholders.
