Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in La Châtre for an Onsite Desktop Support Engineer. The role involves providing technical support for hardware and software systems, troubleshooting and resolving user issues, and maintaining IT equipment. Responsibilities include supporting user requests, performing maintenance and system updates, and offering guidance on using IT resources effectively. The engineer will collaborate with other teams to ensure reliable and efficient IT infrastructure to support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and prepare Windows laptops using Microsoft Autopilot
- Perform batch PC preparation and deployment activities
- Configure and manage technical Active Directory accounts
- Execute driver, firmware, and Windows updates
- Provide onsite deskside and end-user support
- Deliver hand-and-eyes support for the customer’s IT environment
- Coordinate daily activities and attendance with the onsite project manager
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 deployment and troubleshooting
- Experience with Microsoft Autopilot provisioning (Intune / Entra joined devices)
- Knowledge of Active Directory account setup and domain join operations
- Experience managing drivers, firmware, and Windows updates
- L1–L2 deskside / field engineering support background
- Ability to work independently in an onsite customer environment
- Good communication and coordination skills
Mandatory Requirements
- Candidate must currently reside locally in or near La Châtre, France
- Local French language proficiency is mandatory
- Working proficiency in English is required
