Oliver Wyman – Private Capital Practice – Associate / Engagement Manager
Oliver Wyman is an equal opportunity employer. Our commitment to diversity is genuine, deep and growing. We’re not perfect yet, but we’re working hard right now to make our teams balanced, representative and diverse.
The Role and Responsibilities
Associates will effectively break down complex problems into discrete tasks, identifying the key aspects of a problem and directing the focus of junior consultants to those elements. They will plan and execute analysis, identify core issues, and craft suitable recommendations; working side by side with clients and project team members to move projects forward and manage small teams. Clients and colleagues will look to them for unique insight into the chosen subject area.
Engagement managers are the on‑scene leaders who run projects day‑to‑day. They lead the team through an efficient and effective problem‑solving process from initial thought through convergence on a solution, ensuring that recommendations are correct, practical, sensible, relevant and cohesive. The role demands thought leadership at the strategic level, command of technical and operational details, great communication skills and the ability to forge strong relationships.
