Lead Engineer: EPCI Offshore Wind – T&I/ Jacket/ Topside/ Substation
Our client is currently seeking talented Engineer to join their team and support them with a new Offshore Wind project.
This is a Senior / Lead / Principal role for T&I/ Jacket / Topside Substation design. Essential to have senior engineering experience offshore structures – ideally Offshore Substations.
Would suit Senior / Principal / Lead with Background in the design of offshore structures for oil & gas, offshore wind. EPCI: any of Engineering, Construction, Installation, Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance for Offshore Platforms
Design of Jackets &/ Topsides/ T&I / O&M for either Offshore Wind or O&G substations/ platforms any of: Design, RAMS, Fabrication, Manufacturing, T&I or Commissioning

Role: Technical Expert for Substation Engineering: Offshore Substations engineering, construction, installation, commissioning and testing, operation, maintenance.
EPCI: any of Engineering, Construction, Installation, Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance for Offshore Platforms
Design of Jackets &/ Topsides/ T&I / O&M for either Offshore Wind or O&G substations/ platforms
Writing / reviewing / improving Employer’s Technical and Engineering Requirements Review of FEEDReview of bidders’ technical offers Involvement in technical / Design development clarifications
Experience Degree in Mechanical / Civil/ Structural/ Mechanical/ Design Engineering or similar. EPCI: any of Engineering, Construction, Installation, Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance for Offshore Platforms
Design of Jackets &/ Topsides/ T&I / O&M for either Offshore Wind or O&G substations/ platforms
Experience working with developer / EPCI contractor on Offshore structures Advantage Experience with Offshore Converter Platforms – substations (either on Client side, with EPCIC contractors or OWFD) Experience with Offshore Wind Farm Developer OSS: offshore converter platforms for offshore wind connection (sub stations)
Offshore Wind Foundation design practices and developments
Any knowledge of T&I for Offshore Structures eg designs of all components during transportation, crane lift & rigging plans Offshore wind regulations, codes of practice, and design standards
Ideally Chartered Engineer or progressing towards charted status.
RAMS, verification of T&I, manufacturing, commissioning and O&M HVAC Offshore substations and HVDC Offshore converter platforms
Location: UK or EUHybrid working (3/4 days a week in office, 1/2 at home), 40 hours per week
NB: please note it is essential to have Offshore Structures T&I experience & B Eng/ MEng Engineering degree.
Experience can be either on Offshore Wind or O&G substations/ platforms
