We currently have an indefinite contract role as an Office Accountant - Wealth Management with our global payment solution client. This is a multi-year, long-term contract.

Rate: 6,000 to 7,000 Euro per month, depending on overall experience
Language Requirements: English and French
Location: Initially remote for 2-3 months then Hybrid – 2/3 days onsite, downtown, Monaco City

Our payment services client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Office Accountant - Wealth Management with expertise in wealth management, auditing, and multi-currency investment solutions. In this key role, you will directly support the CEO and CFO in managing day-to-day accounting operations and generating insightful financial reports. You will also collaborate closely with the investment advisory team to produce in-depth analytical reports that inform strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in accounting, wealth management, and investment analysis, while thriving in a dynamic and high-stakes environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accounting Duties:
- Manage and monitor all operational expenses, ensuring proper categorization and timely processing.
- Oversee and maintain accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P), ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all transactions.
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, including variance analysis and financial summaries.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Review and analyze financial reports, identifying discrepancies and recommending improvements.
- Prepare and present analytical reports that provide actionable insights to the executive team.
- Wealth Management:
- Capture, process, and consolidate financial data for reporting purposes, ensuring consistency across multiple investment portfolios.
- Perform internal rate of return (IRR) and time-weighted return (TWR) calculations for investments and portfolios.
- Calculate cash flows and net asset values (NAV) for private equity, private credit, and alternative investments.
- Conduct valuations of fixed income securities to assess portfolio performance and risk exposure.
- Draft accurate financial statements, including Income and Expenditure reports, Cash Flow statements, and other necessary documents.
- Assist with estate planning, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and contribute to the development of optimal tax strategies for the family office.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards across all accounting and wealth management functions.
- Collaborate with the investment team to ensure that portfolio strategies align with financial goals and compliance requirements.
- Review and recommend improvements to internal controls and financial policies.
Skills & Qualifications
- Accredited university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus).
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with a proven track record in wealth management and investment reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of general accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis).
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in both French and English.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Experience in estate planning, tax strategy, or family office management is highly desirable.
