Role Overview

We are recruiting a qualified OBGYN to practice at Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) in Vernon, British Columbia. The position offers flexibility for part‑time work and welcomes both new graduates and experienced hospitalists.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on‑call consultative Obstetrics and Gynecology services, including home calls for late‑night work.
• Manage deliveries at the hospital (average 800‑900 per year) in collaboration with GP and midwifery partners.
• Perform elective and emergency Gynecology procedures: infertility care, urogynecology, vaginal surgery, and complex laparoscopic cases.
• Participate in a clinic commitment of 1‑4 days a week and 2‑3 OR days per month.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a 196‑bed facility offering emergency, surgery, critical care, maternity and newborn care, mental health, laboratory, and rehabilitation services.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Type : Fee‑for‑Service, estimated gross annual remuneration of $400,000, based on MOCAP Level 1 and fee‑for‑service payment structure.

Physician Overhead : Monthly overhead of $4,000‑$7,000, varying with office selection and setup.

Benefits and Incentives :

• Relocation funding: $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, and $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates may be newly graduated or experienced hospitalists. The role requires a certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a strong commitment to compassionate patient care.
