Nuclear Engineer

ALTEN is involved in major projects, including  :

• Maintenance and modernization of the operational nuclear fleet
• Spare parts supply and stock management for the French nuclear fleet
• Support for nuclear submarine program management
• Design of wind turbines
• Digitalization of maintenance for installation

As part of a major project to maintain the operational readiness of the nuclear fleet, ALTEN provides technical analysis and project management support. You will join a dynamic team ready to welcome and train you at our facilities in France.

The missions will be the following:

• Address non-conformance findings
• Analyze technical solutions, including calculations, plans, and technical documents
• Ensure compliance with nuclear norms (RCC, Eurocodes, NFC)
• Validate or modify technical solutions to best meet client needs
• Draft response reports
• Communicate with various stakeholders (engineering teams, project engineers, and on-site technicians)
• Manage your portfolio of issues (non-conformance findings), ensuring the implementation and progress of action plans

You hold a degree from an engineering school or a Master's degree (Bac +5) and have initial experience in a similar role, ideally in an agile context. You demonstrate genuine interest in the technical aspects of this field.

Key skills :

• Proficiency in professional Englis
• Understanding of nuclear safety principles and methods
• Knowledge of the fuel cycle and the functioning of PWRs (pressurized water reactors), including associated risks and challenges
• Familiarity with the nuclear environment and best practices for safety-critical activities (installations, systems, equipment, operations, etc.)
