NP / PA – Remote Clinical File Review | Work from Home

The IMA Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Payer Services division as a Clinical File Review Specialist . This role supports an innovative clinical review model, allowing you to apply your expertise in a fully remote, non-patient-facing environment . You will work closely with physician reviewers by synthesizing medical records and preparing structured case summaries that support final clinical determinations. Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 annually, based on experience and licensure What You’ll Do:

Review medical records across multiple specialties (orthopedics, internal medicine, neurology, cardiology, and more)

Analyze and synthesize complex clinical documentation into structured summaries

Identify key medical findings, inconsistencies, and gaps

Prepare draft report frameworks for physician review and sign-off

Support case organization and complexity tiering

Collaborate with physician reviewers and QA teams

Maintain turnaround time and quality benchmarks

What You Bring:

Active, unrestricted NP or PA license

3+ years of clinical experience (internal medicine, ortho, neuro, occupational medicine, or related fields preferred)

Strong medical record interpretation skills across specialties

Excellent written communication and analytical skills

Ability to thrive in a remote, technology-driven environment

Preferred:

Experience in insurance medicine, disability, workers’ compensation, or IME/file review
