Education
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
Experience
- 10+ years of related experience
Technical Skills
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of all phases of network operations.
- Proficiency in evaluating network performance and solving complex networking problems.
- Excellent communication skills, including effective listening, tact, and follow-through.
- Capability to provide clear written documentation on network procedures.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff from other sections on complex client/server issues.
- Ability to offer practical and effective solutions within system and budget constraints.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong assessment skills for network evaluation criteria.
- Adherence to network protocols and methodologies.
- Ability to review and detect errors or recommend modifications in the work of others.
- Must be able to lead and guide a small team, work well with others, and demonstrate the ability to change direction based on new requirements.
- Technical proficiencies in: Cisco, Juniper, and other types of switches and routers, Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, VMware, ASA, VPN, NAT, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, numerous test sets, Telecommunications equipment, VoIP, Cisco Call Manager, Intrusion Detection Systems, Snort, SolarWinds, Splunk.
Security Clearance Level
- Secret Clearance required to start; must be able to obtain TS/SCI
Citizenship Required
- US citizenship required
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, perform problem isolation and resolution, monitor, tune, and set standards for network operations.
- Maintain a complex range of computer network components and systems.
- Utilize monitoring and performance analysis tools, network management software, and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems.
- Gauge network performance and trace data and protocol activity.
- Devise solutions to complex operational problems within the constraints of installed equipment.
- Assist in developing and delivering internal training programs.
- Meet regularly with other network team members to plan and coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues, and communicate changes.
- Collaborate with several projects’ requirements across a vast array of equipment.

- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
- Travel Required: 10-25%
- Telecommuting Options: Onsite
- Work Location: USA NC Fort Bragg
Compensation and Benefits
- The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation; salary is based on experience, location, and contractual requirements.
