PAN Operations & Service Delivery

• Operate, maintain, and continuously improve the Haguenau Production Area Network infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability and performance of network services supporting manufacturing operations.
• Manage network lifecycle activities including installations, upgrades, replacements, and decommissioning.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, standards, and technical procedures.
• Support factory infrastructure projects requiring network integration.

Incident Management & Operational Support

• Act as second and third-level support for PAN-related incidents and service requests.
• Lead technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network outages and performance issues.
• Participate in major incident bridges and crisis management activities when required.
• Identify recurring issues and drive permanent corrective actions.
• Provide on-call or escalation support during critical production disruptions.
• Maintain incident records, operational runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Monitor service health and proactively address capacity, reliability, and performance risks.

Network Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain network segmentation strategies for production environments.
• Ensure compliance with Siemens cybersecurity policies and factory security requirements.
• Support vulnerability remediation and security improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams during audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Maintain secure remote access and connectivity solutions for manufacturing systems.

Monitoring & Performance Management

• Monitor network infrastructure utilizing centralized monitoring and logging solutions.
• Analyze trends to identify bottlenecks, capacity risks, and reliability concerns.
• Define and track operational KPIs for availability, incident resolution, and service quality.
• Drive continuous service improvement initiatives based on operational data.
• Support implementation of the global Production Area Network architecture.
• Ensure local solutions align with global standards and reference architectures.
• Contribute to standardization, automation, and simplification initiatives within the Global Factory Network Service.
• Participate in PAN migration and modernization projects.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as primary interface between factory operations, manufacturing IT, cybersecurity, and external service providers for networking topics.
• Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, automation, MES, and infrastructure teams.
• Support project planning, change implementation, and technical decision-making.
• Provide technical consulting for factory expansion, new production lines, and digitalization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Experience

• Several years of hands-on experience in enterprise or industrial networking.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, factory, or OT environments.
• Proven experience in incident management and operational service support.
• Experience working with managed service providers and infrastructure vendors.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing, switching, and network security technologies.
• Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Scalance, Aruba, or comparable enterprise networking platforms.
• Technical expertise/experience with Fortigate Firewall ZONE technology
• Understanding of industrial networking protocols and manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of network monitoring, packet analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with network segmentation and cybersecurity concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Production Area Networks (PAN) or Operational Technology (OT) environments.
• Understanding of MES, Industrial Edge, IIoT, and shopfloor systems.
• Cisco CCNP, CCIE, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and network-as-code concepts.
