As part of the Quantum Hardware department, the “nanofabrication backend” team plays a pivotal role in operating and developing the “backend of line” used for manufacturing Alice&Bob Quantum Processor. Technically, this encompasses:

Room temperature electrical testing

Dicing

Cleaning

Optical inspection

Wirebonding of chips inside sample holders

Failure analysis

The team is in charge of:

operating the tools for the regular delivery of test chips

developing/improving new processes (for better quality/leadtime/chip selection…)

overseeing its own tools (daily check of the tools, ensuring maintenance schedules are followed, 1st level of troubleshooting)

selection, installation and qualification of new tools
