Multiple full-time, permanent Associate / Full Professor positions in Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Description

Thanks to our strong and continuous growth, at NEOMA Business School, and aligned with our strategic focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), we are seeking to hire multiple full-time, permanent faculty in AI and related topics to join NEOMA AI Research Institute . This Research Institute is NEOMA's flagship strategic initiative in AI, offering a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment for research and education in AI and data science. The AI Research Institute brings together faculty, PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers from different departments at NEOMA working on the technical aspects and applications of AI. Our goal is to advance AI by addressing key challenges in the foundations and applications of AI through multidisciplinary research, innovative education, and strong collaboration with society, industry, and policymakers. We aim to generate impactful research in both foundational and applied AI, foster a vibrant AI community, and expand opportunities for engagement, outreach, and innovation. Candidates from both the technical/foundation side of AI, such as computer scientists, and the applications side are eligible for these positions.

This is a fantastic time to join our school and our multidisciplinary AI Research Institute. The Institute is advancing our research and education on timely and impactful topics in both foundational and applied AI. We also provide resources, in terms of people (i.e., RAs, postdocs, and data scientists) and financial support, to our faculty working around such topics. In addition to the resources available through the Research Institute, we provide a full range of research support, including, among other things, an individual annual budget for conferences and other research expenses, experimental behavioral lab, and a unit dedicated to grants development.

As part of this AI Research Institute, our goal is to establish a Research Excellence Chair in AI in collaboration with the Normandy Region. For this specific chair, we are looking for senior candidates, at the Associate or Full Professor level, with a very strong publication record, who are currently based outside the Normandy Region, preferably outside France. The compensation package is consistent with international standards (with the addition of generous bonuses linked to one's publications). We also support administrative procedures related to settlement in France and assistance in finding accommodation, family integration (school registration for children, help with job search for your partner), French training (for you and your partner), and relocation expenses.

Qualifications

• Hold a PhD from an internationally recognized institution in computer science, engineering, business and management, or other relevant fields related to AI.
• Are passionate about impactful research and are committed to excellence in its pursuit.
• Have a publication record (or strong publication potential) in top-tier international peer-reviewed journals.
• Are eager to diffuse their knowledge in the classroom, empowering our students and executives with new insights to help them navigate a complex and uncertain world.
• Can leverage innovative pedagogy to deliver high-quality classes in English (while it is a plus, knowledge of French is not mandatory).
• Are willing to disseminate research and expertise to our external stakeholders, both locally and globally.
• Have a proactive and collegial attitude toward their colleagues and the school.
• Look forward to actively participate in developing and implementing the school's strategy.
