Multi-Sensor Data Fusion Designer (f/m)

Job Description

A multi sensors datafusion designer (f/m) role based in Toulouse, France. Join Airbus Commercial Aircraft’s system design group focused on Communication, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS) architectures and related technologies such as computer vision, speech to text and data fusion. The role will shape future CNS architecture and support Airlines Operations and business profitability.

Responsibilities

• Defining top-level objectives and requirements for new or improved data fusion functions
• Contributing to safety, verification & validation and certification activities
• Developing, validating and integrating algorithms supporting these functions
• Ensuring deployment of functions on in‑service and future Airbus aircraft
• Collaborating with multi‑functional teams, stakeholders, external academics and industrial partners to deliver projects
• Accountable for project delivery on time, cost, quality and performance targets
• Promoting and developing innovations

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Aeronautical / Electronics engineering (or equivalent)
• Advanced knowledge in signal processing and/or automatic systems
• Strong background in signal‑processing algorithms (e.g., extended Kalman filters, diagnostics)
• Experience with multi‑sensor data fusion, state estimation/motion control algorithms
• Programming experience in Matlab/Simulink, C/C++ or Python
• Knowledge of navigation and surveillance systems (GNSS, ILS, RA, inertial, weather, anti‑collision) and/or image systems (image processing, camera, radar, lidar)
• Basic project management competencies
• Curiosity and appetite for complex function and system development
• Advanced level of English / Intermediate level of French
