Multi-Axis CAM Toolpath and Training Specialist

Work you will do

• Create Fusion 360 toolpaths for 3-, 4 and 5-axis work, including complex milling and turning across metals and plastics.
• Simulate machining to locate collisions, gouging and unnecessary cycle time, then revise the strategy to suit tolerance, material and equipment.
• Configure and document post-processors for relevant machines, including Haas or Makera platforms.
• Produce setup sheets, tooling lists and strategy notes, and write practical walkthroughs or training explanations.
• Use first-part and inspection feedback to refine programs and explain the reasons for each important change.

Preferred background

• At least 5 years of hands-on CAM programming and demonstrated Fusion 360 proficiency.
• A portfolio or samples showing multi-axis strategy and programming ability.
• Strong GD&T, DFM and post-processor knowledge, with experience across materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, titanium and plastics.
• Clear technical English, careful documentation and experience explaining CAM techniques.
• Courses, tutorials, mentoring or other instructional-content experience.

Deliverables

Verified toolpaths, post-processor notes, complete setup documentation and understandable CAM learning material.

Location and schedule

Remote. Scope and schedule are agreed with IXO before work; there is no specified fixed weekly commitment or duration.

Pay and working terms

$85 - $130/hr USD. IXO will agree the assignment scope, hourly rate, schedule and acceptance criteria before work begins.
