Monitoring Engineer – Automation

Join Inspemon , an innovative startup based in Nantes , specializing in automatic 3D LiDAR data acquisition and monitoring systems .As our Monitoring Engineer – Automation , you’ll operate and continuously improve our 3D LiDAR monitoring platform for clients, combining field deployment, data validation, and automation of geotechnical and surveying workflows .With at least 3 years of field experience in geotechnical monitoring or surveying automation , plus a solid coding background , you’re ready to take ownership of monitoring operations end-to-end.

Our Missions

• Deploy, calibrate , and operate LiDAR monitoring systems on client sites, including geotechnical and infrastructure contexts
• Automate geotechnical and surveying data workflows: point cloud validation, recurring checks, and report generation
• Manage customer training sessions and provide technical support in English
• Maintain and improve monitoring dashboards , alerts, and automated reporting pipelines
• Work closely with R&D and backend teams to improve tooling and reliability

Your profile

• Degree in Geotechnical Engineering , Geomatics , Surveying , or a related field
• At least 3 years of field experience in geotechnical monitoring or surveying, with hands-on automation of data workflows
• Comfortable writing scripts (Python or similar) to automate data processing and reporting
• Hands-on experience with LiDAR , total stations, inclinometers, or other geotechnical/survey instrumentation
• Autonomous, reliable, and customer-oriented, with excellent communication skills in English (French is a plus)
