Middle Office – OTC Collateral – 18-month assignment

The role:

Operational collateral management:

• Daily flow management: calculate, issue and validate margin calls (initial margin and variation margin) for OTC and listed derivatives.
• Reconciliation & disputes: reconcile positions and portfolios (reconciliation portals, Tri

  Optima/Tri

  Resolve); investigate and resolve valuation differences, coupon claims and cash breaks with counterparties.
• Contractual framework: apply and monitor collateral agreements (ISDA/CSA, GMRA); onboard new agreements and set up eligibility rules for posted assets.

Risk control & continuous improvement:

• Exposure monitoring: perform periodic counterparty risk exposure checks and feed activity KPIs and dashboards.
• Process optimisation: identify operational bottlenecks, propose automation (macros, internal tools) and contribute to flow redesign projects.
• Procedures: maintain and update operational documentation in line with internal and regulatory standards.

Cross-functional coordination & external relations:

• Key point of contact: liaise daily with portfolio management, trading, legal, compliance and IT teams.
• External ecosystem: manage interactions with custodians, fund administrators, clearing houses and market counterparties; elevate critical issues promptly.

Profile:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in Middle Office or Market Operations, must be focused on collateral management, OTC derivatives, etc.
• Personal qualities: analytical rigour, responsiveness to cut-off deadlines, autonomy and excellent communication skills to deal with demanding counterparties.
• Languages: fluent English essential (daily written and spoken use in an international environment).

Technical skills:

• Strong command of margin mechanics (VM / IM) and the related regulatory framework (EMIR, UMR).
• Solid understanding of financial master agreements (ISDA/CSA, GMRA).
• Hands-on experience with standard market platforms (Tri

• Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions; VBA a plus).
