Microbiology Production Associate

Location: Paris, France (on-site, full-time)

Contract: 12-month fixed-term (extension or permanent potential)

If you enjoy being in the lab, running experiments and staying close to the bench, this is for you. I’m working with a fast‑scaling biotech in Paris that is expanding its production team. They are looking for a hands‑on Production Associate to help run day‑to‑day lab workflows that support their discovery platform. This is not a research position, you will be executing lab work at a high standard, consistently and at scale.

This is a practical, lab‑based position focused on microbiology and molecular biology workflows.

You will be responsible for running key steps in the process, from biological samples through to compound extraction, working as part of a collaborative lab team.

What you will be doing

• Perform microbial isolation and sample processing
• Run DNA extraction, PCR and strain transformations
• Support sequencing workflows (Nanopore)
• Work with microbial cultures and basic fermentation processes
• Carry out compound extraction from microbial cultures
• Prepare reagents and maintain lab equipment
• Ensure accurate documentation of experiments and results
• Work closely with the team to keep workflows running efficiently

What they are looking for

• Hands‑on experience in microbiology and molecular biology
• Experience with techniques such as PCR, DNA extraction and microbial culture
• 3–5 years of lab experience (biotech, industry or strong academic lab)
• Comfortable with routine, execution‑focused lab work
• Strong attention to detail and lab discipline
• Fluent in French
• Able to work full‑time on‑site in Paris

Nice to have

• Experience with sequencing (Nanopore)
• Experience with fermentation
• Experience with compound or organic extraction
• Experience in a biotech or scale‑up environment
