About the Role

The Methods Manager makes a direct contribution to improving manufacturing reliability, optimizing production costs and enhancing the level of service provided to customers through technical expertise and the ability to structure methods.

Responsibilities

  • Review technical files and validate the industrial feasibility of parts, sub‑assemblies or products to be manufactured.
  • Define operating sequences, production resources, tooling and associated inspection requirements.
  • Take part in the industrialisation of new products and the development of existing manufacturing processes.
  • Update technical documentation and manufacturing support documents.
  • Monitor industrial performance indicators and recommend appropriate action plans.
  • Identify deviations, malfunctions or performance losses and lead corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the standardisation of practices and the reliability of technical data.
  • Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, purchasing and customer service teams to streamline flows and secure production commitments.

Qualifications

With a higher technical education background in mechanics, production engineering, industrialisation or industrial engineering, you have 5 to 10 years of successful experience in methods, industrialisation or continuous improvement, ideally in the metallurgy, mechanical engineering or metal transformation sector.

Required Skills

  • Strong command of manufacturing processes in the metalworking and mechanical industry.
  • Ability to design manufacturing routings and structure technical production data.
  • Proficiency in an industrial ERP system and ease in creating and managing items, bills of materials and cost data.
  • Knowledge of AS400 and/or Business Central would be a plus.
  • Ability to analyse times, costs and performance indicators.
  • Proficiency in office tools, especially Excel, and the ability to develop reliable and relevant monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and problem‑solving methods.
  • Rigor, organisational skills, analytical mindset and the ability to prioritise.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a hands‑on approach and the ability to work cross‑functionally with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Professional English required.

Management

The position includes the supervision of 2 people, with responsibility for day‑to‑day coordination, support and team leadership.

Working Relationships

The Methods Manager works on a daily basis with production teams, customer service, as well as quality, maintenance, purchasing and industrial management functions. The role plays a central interface position between customer requirements, technical constraints and the company’s production capabilities.
