The RoleJoin the Louis Vuitton EMEA Head Office in Paris as EMEA Men’s Universe Merchandiser .
In this role, you will drive the performance of the Men’s Universe across EMEA, contribute to product strategy, define assortments, and support markets in ensuring a relevant and high-performing in-store offering. You will work closely with central teams, local markets, and cross-functional departments.
Job responsibilities
Commercial Performance Management
- Analyze and monitor sales performance to identify opportunities and short-term optimization levers
- Drive the business by sharing key messages and priorities with markets, challenging them on sales and stock levels, organizing support priorities, and launching ad hoc action plans with markets or at zone level when needed
- Incorporate retail strategy, store potential, and client profiles into the strategic business plan
- Contribute to the development of the annual sales budget as well as OTB planning, in coordination with the Business Planning and Sales Planning teams
- Monitor time-to-market with Supply Chain teams, including launch dates, set-up quantities, and the implementation of any required actions
- Maintain a deep and up-to-date understanding of markets in order to share qualitative feedback with the central merchandising team on performance, future opportunities, and the competitive environment
Collection and Assortment Management
- Prepare merchandising briefs for the central team ahead of design briefs
- Recommend the selection of seasonal new launches and key bets, based on a highly detailed analysis of market trends and needs
- Ensure a complete and commercial product offering in each market by managing assortments by cluster on a quarterly basis
Participation in Showrooms and Buying Sessions
- Participate in buying sessions and in the development of assortments
- Adapt buying decisions to the zone strategy
Market Support
Animate product training sessions and promote your category across each country and store
- Visit stores and markets to gather needs, understand the competitive environment, and identify local trends
- Ensure coordination with all support functions
Profile
- Graduate of a higher education program such as a business school degree (or equivalent Master’s degree / Bac+5)
- At least 3 years of previous experience in buying or regional merchandising, preferably gained in the fashion/luxury environment, with strong product expertise
- Team player with a strong sense of initiative and a passion for fashion, including market trends and competitors
- Results-oriented and client-centric, with the ability to interact with diverse teams, departments, and cultures, and to thrive in an international work environment
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data to support decision-making
- Excellent command of English and French
- Retail experience is a plus
