We are seeking a Medical Director, France to lead the medical strategy and activities for the PDx portfolio in France, ensuring the safe, effective and appropriate use of our products in clinical practice. This senior medical leadership role will shape and execute the French medical strategy, inform evidence and portfolio priorities, and act as a key medical partner to France and regional leadership. The successful candidate will work in a highly matrixed environment across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Quality, Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information to drive medical excellence, compliant execution and strong business alignment.

Role overview :
The Medical Director is responsible for leading the medical strategy and activities for GE HealthCare's Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) portfolio in France, ensuring the safe, effective and appropriate use of diagnostic products in French clinical practice. This is a strategic senior medical leadership role that shapes the mid- to long-term direction of GE HealthCare's PDx business in France. The Medical Director sets and executes the France medical strategy, informs portfolio and evidence priorities, guides resource and budget allocation, and acts as a key thought partner to French commercial, market access and regional leadership teams. The role works cross-functionally with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Quality, Pharmacovigilance and other functions to ensure medical excellence, robust safety and medical information governance, compliant execution and strong alignment with organizational operating plans and applicable French healthcare regulations.
The Medical Director may also line-manage France-based Medical Affairs, Medical Information and Pharmacovigilance roles, providing strategic direction, coaching and oversight of activities in alignment with local operating needs.

Strategy & Planning
- Provide scientific and strategic leadership for Medical Affairs in France.
- Develop and execute an integrated France medical strategy and operational plan, aligned with European/regional and global objectives.
- Translate regional/global medical strategies into clear French market priorities, projects and KPIs.
- Drive strong partnership with Commercial, Marketing, Market Access, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information.
- Provide high-quality medical input to business and product strategies, including lifecycle management, evidence needs and labelling.
- Consolidate and share French healthcare landscape insights, including patient pathways, access, reimbursement, guideline changes and hospital decision-making dynamics, and translate these into country strategies.
- Adapt regional strategies and tactical plans to French market realities and healthcare system needs.
- Lead France medical annual budget and business planning, including prioritization and trade-offs.
- Ensure on-time, on-budget execution of the medical tactical plan and maintain up-to-date budget and activity trackers.
- Collaborate with Global R&D/Development to provide input into clinical development plans and France participation, as well as global cross-functional integrated evidence generation plans and partnerships with Global Medical Expert Teams and Global Medical Leaders, where applicable.
