Job Description

Solabia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Business Development Manager to join our team, based in France (or a major EU country). Reporting directly to the Group Director of the Cosmetics, Nutrition & Pharma Business Unit, this global role will serve as a product and market expert for the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.

You will be instrumental in expanding our market presence and strengthening strategic partnerships, particularly in the field of medical specialty polymers. Collaborating closely with R&D and Marketing, you will engage with customers, attend industry events, and act as a strong advocate of Solabia in the medical technology space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow relationships with existing customers while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Build and manage a global distributor network, adapting strategies to market-specific needs
  • Design and execute strategic sales plans to drive growth across existing and new markets
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance using CRM tools and maintain a clear and updated sales pipeline
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform strategy and mitigate risks
  • Acquire deep knowledge of Solabia’s portfolio of ingredients for medical device and pharmaceutical applications
  • Collaborate with R&D to foster innovation and support product customization
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Customer Service, R&D) to ensure seamless customer support
  • Represent Solabia at trade shows, conferences, and client meetings to promote our solutions and generate leads

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in B2B sales within the pharmaceutical or medical technology sectors
  • Proven international business experience and ability to navigate diverse cultures and markets
  • Strong scientific background in chemistry, life sciences, medical technology, or a related field
  • Deep understanding of the medical technology market, particularly raw materials or specialty pharmaceuticals
  • Strategic mindset with strong ownership and follow-through capabilities
  • Experience in joint-development project management and collaboration with R&D teams
  • Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation—with a polished and professional demeanour
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
