Job Description

Join us as the Medical Manager Western Europe Cluster (France & BNLX) and take on a strategic leadership role where you will drive BD MDS’s medical vision, lead a team of Medical Advisors, and shape high‑impact scientific initiatives that elevate our engagement with healthcare professionals, societies, and key stakeholders.

As an active member of both the France & BNLX and EMEA leadership teams, you will collaborate across functions to deliver innovative medical programs, ensure scientific excellence, and support business priorities in a dynamic, matrixed environment. This role is ideal for an experienced medical or clinical professional (5+ years in acute care, Pharma, or MedTech) with strong expertise in Vascular Access, Infection Prevention, or Oncology, deep knowledge of healthcare systems and medical device regulations, proven strategic and problem‑solving capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead complex projects—combined with the flexibility to travel up to 50%.

Field role open to any location close to airport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the France & BNLX Medical Affairs team, fostering collaboration, motivation, and high performance.
  • Prioritize and oversee medical activities aligned with business strategy, identifying innovative ways to support clinicians in a changing healthcare landscape.
  • Define and implement the regional KOL & scientific society engagement strategy, including advisory boards and peer‑to‑peer initiatives.
  • Drive scientific educational programs (non‑product/disease awareness) in partnership with cross‑functional teams.
  • Oversee scientific exchange, medical inquiries, and insight generation in collaboration with EMEA and Global Medical Information teams.
  • Manage evidence generation and dissemination activities, supporting global, regional, and local evidence opportunities.
  • Ensure compliant delivery of BD MDS Medical Services and identify new service development opportunities.
  • Provide medical expertise to business projects and support promotional material review through Veeva Vault LMR.

Profile

  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Certified HCP (nurse or physician) and/or degree in a scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in acute care or relevant medical/clinical roles in Med DEVICES.
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare system, medical device regulations, GCP, and European clinical requirements.
  • Clinical expertise in Vascular Access Management or Infection Prevention.
  • Proven strategic thinking and ability to evaluate complex problems with a long‑term perspective.
  • Skilled in project management and cross‑functional collaboration within matrix organizations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to generate multiple solutions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays.

Salary

Salary range: €70,000–€85,000 base + bonus + benefits.
