We’re looking for a curious, analytical and hungry Media Analyst ready to help build and lead the world’s most influential sustainability media platform. From curating high-impact special reports to ensuring excellence in the daily details of media performance and operations, you will play a key role in shaping how sustainability stories reach and influence decision-makers worldwide. NB: We strongly believe in internal growth: candidates demonstrating strong performance and achieving agreed KPIs will be promoted to Media Manager after 12 months. Together, we are building the "Bloomberg of Sustainability", the world’s most insightful sustainability information and data platform. We proved the impossible possible by scaling from zero to hundreds of thousands of users, thousands of companies brought to transparency for their sustainability performance, and the largest expert network in the field. Now, we want to scale our userbase, help every company benchmark their impact, reveal their environmental & social strengths and weaknesses, and confidently choose their best path to sustainability. With you, we will shape the global conversation on sustainability—keep our media pages always updated, conquer new users, engineer viral stories to catch the attention of companies and citizens around the world, drive platform and social media growth, and lead media strategies that turn insights into worldwide impact.
Responsibilities
You will make illuminem the most widely used sustainability platform, curating data-driven stories and managing the daily operations of one of the world’s leading sustainability media platforms. This is a fully hands‑on role. You will be judged by a single KPI: the traffic your work generates.
- Execute editorial production: Own the end-to-end creation and publishing of content: writing, editing, formatting, and uploading articles, newsletters, and special reports while ensuring highest editorial quality and consistency.
- Coordinate editorial operations: Coordinate the editorial team to manage workflows, verifying quality standards, and ensuring reliable publishing across the platform 24/7.
- Manage the illuminem Voices community: Manage our global network of 2,000+ leading sustainability experts to publish high-quality insights and ensure illuminem remains the #1 trusted platform in the field.
- Turn data into high‑performing content: Analyze sustainability data and engagement metrics to identify trends and transform them into clear, compelling media formats that drive readership.
- Improve SEO and discoverability: Apply SEO and AEO best practices (keywords, metadata, linking) to increase organic traffic, track results using tools, and iterate based on performance.
- Drive automation and efficiency: Research and implement smart tools (AI summarization, CMS automation, workflow optimization) to accelerate publishing and improve operational efficiency.
- Hands‑on social media execution: Actively manage and grow our presence across social platforms (especially LinkedIn), crafting posts, distributing content, engaging with the community, and optimizing performance.

- Deep understanding of virality – strong grasp of what makes content spread, with the ability to craft strategies and formats that drive high engagement across platforms.
- Reliability & responsiveness – immediately take ownership of key responsibilities from Day 1, demonstrating dependability in essential roles. Be available for urgent responses and breaking news, supporting high‑priority needs with speed and flexibility during moments of media momentum.
- Creative design & storytelling – ability to design compelling visuals and write sharp, concise copy and data narratives that consistently generate viral traction.
- Analytical acumen and performance tracking – utilize exceptional analytical skills and a history of using data-driven insights for informed decision‑making.
- Excellent verbal & written English skills – clearly and concisely communicate, distilling insights from documents and discussions with proficiency.
