Location

Guyane, Cayenne (base), with frequent travel across Guyane and bi‑annually to Guadeloupe.

Job Summary

Medical Director in Palliative Care, full‑time CDI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the palliative care team (psychologist, nurse, aide, hypnologist, art therapist, socio‑esthetician).
• Collaborate with four coordinating doctors and the pediatric care physician.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, including Loi Leonetti.
• Develop and implement the end‑of‑life project with patients and families, respecting local customs.
• Maintain high quality and safety standards in care provision.
• Participate in oncology staff meetings of the affiliated hospital.
• Supervise the establishment of a 70‑bed palliative care unit in Cayenne.
• Lead communication initiatives to expand activities, particularly with the Cayenne hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Medical doctorate and a specialization (DU or DIU) in palliative care.
• Optional specialization in pain management.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to adapt to diverse cultures.
• Excellent relational qualities.
• Must be registered with the French Medical Council.
