The Role
We are looking for a Mechatronics & Industrial Systems Engineer to design, integrate and industrialise the physical systems surrounding our THz inspection technology.
You will work across mechanics, electronics, automation and industrial integration to turn TiHive’s technology into complete, reliable and maintainable industrial systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Integrate THz cameras, sources, electronics and computing systems into complete inspection solutions.
- Design mechanical structures, mounts, enclosures and adjustable positioning systems.
- Define mechanical, electrical and automation interfaces with customer production lines.
- Integrate sensors, encoders, triggers, actuators, industrial I/O and PLC interfaces.
- Develop product-tracking, synchronization and reject-system solutions.
- Build test benches, calibration fixtures and validation tools.
- Test system accuracy, repeatability, alignment, vibration and thermal behaviour.
- Improve manufacturability, assembly, installation and maintenance.
- Produce technical drawings, bills of materials and assembly documentation.
- Support system installation, commissioning and troubleshooting at customer sites.
Profile
- Engineering degree in mechatronics, automation, robotics, mechanical engineering, electromechanical engineering or a related field.
- Experience with industrial machines, automated systems or inspection equipment.
- Strong practical knowledge of mechanics, electronics, sensors and actuators.
- Experience with mechanical CAD and technical drawings.
- Understanding of PLCs, industrial I/O, encoders, motors, pneumatics or motion control.
- Able to build, test and troubleshoot multidisciplinary systems.
- Hands-on, structured and comfortable working from design through deployment.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
Experience in machine vision, packaging machinery, high-speed production lines, industrial safety or field commissioning would be a strong advantage.
